Wanting to be the most reliable label supplier, Ratermann Manufacturing spent months hunting down the strongest ink we could find by testing several different types. We found an ink that gets stronger the longer it is in the sun, expanding its resistance to fading by years vs. months like standard inks on the market. This means companies whose cylinders are outside and exposed to a large amount of time in the sun will be significantly more resistant to fading. The picture shows that there is only a very slight fade to the coloring of the label over 2 years.

Cradles have been around for a long time and provide a lot of products in a small space. Configurations can be 6, 12, 16 & 18 cylinders. The gases put into these packages can be: Oxygen, Argon, Hydrogen, Methane, Helium, Breathing Air, Argon/CO2 mixes, Nitrogen, & CO2. Unlike liquid DOT4L cans, you don’t have to worry about the gases building up pressure and releasing out the safety when not in use. This makes these cradles useful in warmer weather and sitting for long periods of time. Another advantage is the flow rates. With cylinders being filled to high pressures ranging from 3000 psi to 4500 psi your flow rates are high with correct sized regulator and downstream hose sizes. You can even pull off both supply valves on manifold to get multiple users off each unit. Ratermann Manufacturing supplies these in many shapes and sizes.

For the benefit of space, I’m going to keep this simple. A good “rule of thumb” for Distributors to follow in sizing a vessel, is that a vessel should be sized so it is filled every three-four weeks. A careful review of your Customer’s consumption requirements (current and future), site considerations, and product availability will be essential information. Selecting the optimum size cryogenic storage vessel for your application need not be a difficult task.

It’s no surprise that the availability of most products within the past two years has been challenging at best! Many manufacturers are facing tough decisions based on raw goods material shortages, increased freight prices, and employee shortages. During these times especially, a good distributor relationship is crucial to ensure that your business is not interrupted.
