Flow rate and pressure are constant concerns with cryogenics. When the demand for gas outpaces the output of the liquid cylinder, both pressure and flow rates will drop accordingly. This is when a vaporizer can save the day.
The easy answer is that when demand for gas, or flow rate, is higher than the output of the liquid cylinder, pressure and flow rate drop. Vaporizers solve this problem by maintaining constant pressure while increasing flow rate.
Sizing a vaporizer is actually an easy process. We take your pressure need and flow rate and can calculate the appropriate size for your application. We also take into consideration your location, as climate and ambient temperatures can affect the final outcome as well.
We sell vaporizers in Monel, stainless steel and aluminum (actually our most common version). Monel is traditionally used with liquid oxygen, while high pressure applications typically use stainless steel vaporizers. As a custom shop, we can provide pretty much anything you need.
We have vaporizers for both low and high pressure applications, and for hydrogen, we’re releasing a 15,000 PSI (100 bar) vaporizer that’s really pushing forward in the industry. For hydrogen fuel cells and vehicles, you need extremely high pressures to go from liquid back to gas, and we’re very excited to announce this new offering.
Ratermann has shipping locations strategically placed around the country so we can get you a vaporizer fast and with much more cost-effective shipping.
