Ratermann Women’s Wine & Wisdom Roundtable Event Recap
Ratermann Manufacturing was proud to host the Women’s Wine & Wisdom Roundtable event as the official debut of the new Solutions Center in Livermore.
It was about a year ago that George Ratermann said: “We should have a space that customers can come to and think completely out of the box! Let’s host events that bring new perspectives to our industry and help each other grow.”
On February 16, 2023, that hope came to full fruition when the Ratermann Women’s Roundtable group christened the new facility with their Wine & Wisdom event.
Wine & Wisdom
After a pre-game wine tasting and dinner the night before, the daylong roundtable event kicked off with a tour of the new facility followed by a talk by Marie Ratermann on embracing the culture of creativity and growth with authenticity. She covered both the challenges and successes of pushing beyond boundaries, and shared ideas for getting started and opening up to new perspectives and ideas.
Making Social Media Work For You
Next, TikTok star and entrepreneur Lexy Burke covered what social media can actually do for your company. She explained her top benefits and strategies for boosting brand awareness and sales, and provided helpful tips for those looking to ramp up their social media presence.
Succession Planning Advice
After lunch, Director of Vineyard Operations & 5th-generation winemaker Niki Wente led a wine tasting and tour of the Wente winemaking operation while sharing some best practices for succession planning and creating change in a traditional industry.
Supporting Women in the Industry
Ratermann was the first company in the industrial gas industry to develop a networking and knowledge-sharing group for women, and regularly pulls together leaders from across industries to discuss topics ranging from leadership to technical expertise to business development and everything in between.
The group is open to Ratermann customers, and offers opportunities for networking and mentoring through bimonthly virtual events and occasional in-person events around the country.
